Hello and a sweet welcome to CakeRx, where custom cakes and small baked goods are homemade with love.

How did this all begin? Well as a board certified anesthesiologist, wife, and mother of four kids, I can tell you that I have not imagined adding any more to my plate for quite some time! Through the years, friends and family have raved about my desserts but I always considered my baking as a fun hobby. It genuinely excites me to try a new recipe or flavor combination. And the joy I get when I see someone devouring one of my creations just… well it fills my heart!

After finishing medical training and struggling to find work-life balance, I leaned in to learning new recipes and expanding my cake decorating skills as a way to get back to the “me” I was before kids and work took all of my time. Spending time nurturing that original part of me is incredibly gratifying. Yes, my days (and nights) are busy, but I feel more whole when make time for creative pursuits in addition to my nurturing and scientific roles.

I decided to take a leap of faith and start selling my baking to others in 2015. In 2023, I expanded my business and rebranded as CakeRx. When people ask how I juggle doctor and baker, I just tell them it has been a natural combination for me - I take care of both bodies and souls through precise measurements, a skillful hand, patience under pressure, and a touch of sweetness!

Let me tell you, my family are my toughest critics, but they are also my biggest supporters. They keep me grounded and remind me that whether it's creating a baking business from scratch or anesthetizing critically ill patients who are undergoing complex surgeries - with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for baking with you, and I hope that each bite of my homemade creations brings you joy and happiness into your life. Thank you for visiting CakeRx, and I look forward to sweetening your celebrations with my custom homemade cakes!

Yours,

It was all

a dream.
